This is the first time I've been back since I was born 32 years ago. It was an emotional experience for me, especially now that I have my own kids. I walked the halls of 3rd floor birthing center and all I thought of was Peggy (my birth mom) and all she went through to deliver me. 
For those who don't know, I was the first baby born in this hospital in the year 1976. Because of that, we made the local newspaper! Here is a painting a friend of mine did from a picture from that paper. It happened to be my first smile as well!!
Peggy died May 8, 2006 in a car accident. Here is a picture of the last time I got to see her in Sept 05 in Gatlinburg, TN.

Wow V, that had to be so emotional. I'm glad you were able to go there and spend some time. I think it's so neat how you made the local paper and the painting your friend did is beautiful!
