Reese's School Program

Reese had an end of the school year program that I wanted to share. The kids did such a great job. It's hard to believe the school year has already come to an end.

Here is Reese with some of his classmates.

Amy & Boys

Many of you will recognize these cute little boys. They are our nephews Johnathon (5) and Kamryn (2). When my sister Amy went to Iraq, the boys lived with us for several months until her deployment was over. This picture was taken Easter Sunday in 2003.
Well those cute boys and Amy came up from Knoxville, TN over Mother's Day weekend for a visit. It was fun to go around DC showing them all the sites. We also made a day trip to NYC. Reese came along with us so he could have some fun with his boy cousins.
Amy, Johnathon is 11 and Kamryn is 8.
They are much older now but still so cute!!

He was so excited to see the same shirt he was wearing.
The boys really enjoyed the BIG Spiderman in the Sony building.
This was on our way home from a great day in NYC. We took the Staten Island Ferry across. What a blessing to watch the sun go down behind the Statue of Liberty. We had a wonderful day in the Big Apple.

Amy celebrated her 31st birthday here! I made this cake for her.....can you tell it's a high heel on it? We put 31 candles on the cake and it was smoking!! :-) Happy Birthday Amy! Thanks for sharing it with us!!

Family Visits

Brad's cousins wife, Jodi and her family came out for a visit in April. They came here from TN, NE, and WY. It was so much fun to hang out with them and get to know them better. They came for all the sites in DC and we were so happy to be able to take a day trip to New York City. We spent most of our time talking and laughing!!!
Here are Tink, Mona, Megan and Jodi in the NY Subway.

A great close up of the Statue of Liberty!
Jodi had an amazing camera with a great zoom and she let me use it all day!

Update on Kiddos

I just wanted to take some time to update the blog about the kiddos. I'm so amazed at how much they have grown and all they've learned lately. They continue to make me laugh daily. We have had lots of visitors this last month as well as a few trips of our own. I'll share that in another post but here are the kids. They are growing and developing so well. I'm very proud of them and so grateful to be their Mommy.

One morning the kids all the kids wanted to together in the recliner.

Reese just finished his preschool for the summer. We told him that school is over until the fall when he will attend Pikes Peak Christian School in Colorado Springs. I know he will miss his class and wonderful teacher!!

We went on a walk while our van was being serviced and Adelyn asked me to take her picture beside this tree. She thought it looked like a small Christmas tree. It was so cute! I don't know why her hair is so static but it's cute!

Hayden had fun at playground at the church building. He is 18 months and 31 lbs and 34 1/4 in tall. We have figured out that he is not only allergic to dairy but also bananas and strawberries. He has been extra fussy this week because his eye teeth just pocked through. I'm looking forward a less fussy toddler this week! :-)

This picture is priceless to me!!
Reese helped me hold the Bible as we wrote our new memory verse (John 3:16) on our dry erase board. After we finished, he took the Bible and went to the steps. I didn't pay much attention and started doing dishes. Something told me to go check on the kids. I came around the corner to find Reese "reading" the David and Goliath story to the little kids. Thankfully my camera was hanging on a hook really close so I grabbed it and took this shot. This is one of his favorite stories in the Bible. We start with that story every night before our devotional.
God is so good!!
