Kids Help with Cleaning

The kids have really enjoyed helping me clean. Here are some pictures of them in action:

Reese washing dishes. Notice his helmet on the back of the chair? He took time away from playing football to help! Isn't that great? ;-)
Addie can help too. Notice how wet her shirt and pants got!
Reese even likes vacuuming!! And if Hayden is around when we are vacuuming, he will attack the vacuum!! It's too funny and it makes it a little more time to get the job done! :-)

I finally got a picture of Hayden's tooth. (You can click on the picture to make it bigger.) When I pulled the picture up onto my computer, I noticed that Hayden has a fourth tooth coming in. It's on the top beside where is two top teeth SHOULD be! :-) This explains why he has been really fussy lately!!

Lollipops, Diapers, & Ladder Golf

We made lollipops yesterday and the kids got to have them for breakfast! I just used plain yogurt, frozen blueberries, frozen strawberries and milk. With just a few seconds in the blender, they were off to the freezer to set up. The kids loved them!!

Did I tell you we switched to cloth? It's working out well.

So we are preparing to go camping over labor day weekend with the Schwambs. I wanted to start getting things out and ready, so I pulled out our Ladder Golf (or Hillbilly Golf). I really enjoy the game and not sure why we don't play more often. I guess now that it's out, we'll play more. Adelyn & Reese really enjoyed throwing the golf balls. Here is Reese actually hitting it. It looks like he has 5 points. Way to go Reese!

Well this has been our morning so far. Hayden just woke up from a nap. I better go get him.

Fun, Fun, Fun at home

We have had some fun at home the last week. Reese and Adelyn had fun with their swords we made.

Today was laundry day and Reese thought it would be fun to ride in the choo-choo.

It seems too early to me (9 mths)!!

Lewes, DE

So after we left Ocean City, we drove over to Lewes, Delaware where I was born. This is the first time I've been back since I was born 32 years ago. It was an emotional experience for me, especially now that I have my own kids. I walked the halls of 3rd floor birthing center and all I thought of was Peggy (my birth mom) and all she went through to deliver me.

For those who don't know, I was the first baby born in this hospital in the year 1976. Because of that, we made the local newspaper! Here is a painting a friend of mine did from a picture from that paper. It happened to be my first smile as well!!

Peggy died May 8, 2006 in a car accident. Here is a picture of the last time I got to see her in Sept 05 in Gatlinburg, TN.

Ocean City, MD

We were blessed to be able to see my brother and his family: Dale, Mindy, Hunter, Allayah, Christian and Launa from Maryville, TN. They came up to go to Mindy's grandparents house in MD for vacation. We had such a great day at the beach. We caught some big waves on our boogie boards. The kids had such a great time with their cousins. Reese said later, "Mommy, more cousins!" It was so cute....we miss you guys already!!

Hayden is 9 months!

Today Hayden turns 9 months!! What a milestone!! He is our affectionate one. He loves touch...he needs touch! He gives the biggest hugs and kisses which melts my heart! He has a very contagious laugh and a big smile (can you see his bottom two teeth?) He started crawling at 7 months and is on the move most of the day. His day consist of eating, sleeping, crawling and being able to finally play on the floor with Reese and Adelyn. Thank you, Lord, for our sweet Hayden.

After his check up, we will let you know how big this bad boy is! :-)

And if you were curious, this is what the kids looked like at 9 months! And I figured out that I was pregnant when Reese and Adelyn were 9 months old!! That's CRAZY!!!

Where is Jesus?

Oh, my sweet Adelyn! Yesterday while we were sitting at the table talking, Adelyn asked, "Mommy, is Jesus at home?" Instead of answering so quickly, I asked her, "Adelyn, where is Jesus?" And she said with confidence and a big smile, "At Bible Class!"
